Challange

Pyrotek was faced with a situation in which its old filter system could no longer meet the company’s own standards. What had previously been sufficient was no longer able to keep dust levels down. Air quality deteriorated and the high noise level from one of the units was becoming increasingly problematic, both internally and externally.

One of the filters was still working – but the noise level was so high that neighbours complained every week. Although the technology was doing its job, the surrounding environment was far from sustainable. Creating a safe and pleasant working environment is about more than just filtration; it’s about how you feel, think and cope.

Pyrotek already uses several Absolent filters and is very satisfied with their performance and the level of service provided. So, when the time came to replace the old dust filters, Absolent was the obvious choice.

– You don’t replace something that works, says the production manager. We never considered changing suppliers.

However, replacing a filter is not something that is done on the fly – especially when a new solution is on the horizon. One of the workshop workers knew that Absolent was going to launch a new dust filter and was eager to find out more. They held out and waited for the launch.

The news was confirmed, and Pyrotek wasted no time in becoming the first company in Sweden to place an order – not just for one, but for two new units.

Solution

Pyrotek chose the AD051, the smallest model in the new AD range. Despite its compact size, it delivers high-performance results and is perfectly suited to the environment in Dals-Ed.

The AD051 is designed to handle both dust and flue gases with a high level of filtration without taking up unnecessary space. Its robust Galfan steel construction provides resistance to wear and corrosion, which is an important factor for long-term operation in industrial environments.

At the heart of the technology lies True Downflow™, which directs air downwards through vertically positioned filter cartridges. This ensures that dust is directed straight to the collection point, rather than settling on top of the filters as it often does with horizontal filtration. The result? Longer filter life, consistent performance and lower total costs over time.

Thanks to differential pressure control, the system automatically cleans the filters when necessary, saving energy and ensuring consistent performance. With CleanChange™, a maintenance system that enables filters to be replaced from the clean air side without the need for special tools, servicing becomes safer and easier for staff.

Combined, these features give Pyrotek a solution that protects both people and processes without compromising on space, performance or safety.

Results

The new dust filters from Absolent have transformed Pyrotek’s working environment. The previously dirty, noisy working environment has been transformed into a clean, pleasant, quiet production area. Complaints from neighbours about the high noise levels are now a thing of the past, and the working environment is perceived as much more pleasant for both staff and the surrounding area.

The new filters have improved air quality and boosted employee confidence, as staff know that their employers take their health seriously. In a workplace with such low staff turnover, investing in the right solutions is crucial – and at Pyrotek, they are clear that Absolent continues to be the right choice. The high level of trust between the companies has been further strengthened, and their collaboration is now based on past experiences and future needs.

As they say themselves, “You don’t replace something that works.” And that’s what Absolent does.
