EMEA Business Developer Manager

To succeed as a BDM, you must be passionate about the products you work with and continue to expand your
product knowledges. An excellent BDM must have an eye for spotting market trends, a willingness to inspire
customers and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The business developer must be able to identify new markets to prospect and attract new customers. The
business developer must therefore implement a strategy defined in advance with the various departments with
which he or she works, and then establish a relationship of trust.
Area: EMEA
Brands concerned: Absolent
Placement: Can be based in every of our European subsidiaries; Switzerland, Sweden, France or Germany
Reporting To: President EMEA AACG (Direct) – CEO of Absolent (Dotted Line)
Job Activities:
This job breaks down into 3 parts.
1. Distributor manager
Responsible for developing sales with our EMEA Distributors/partners network under your responsibility and
identified potential and defined commercial strategy.
2. Key European end-user accounts Manager
You will be responsible for developing our Sales and relationship for 2 or 3 selected key European end-user
accounts
By promoting our product range, setting up sales contracts and ensuring the development and implementation
by our sales teams in the territory.
3. Die casting business developer
To be the point of contact with our product department to develop our business and sales of our equipment and
solutions for Die Casting applications.

• Ensure distributors sales growth, follows set agreement and develop relationship.
• Responsible for the sales and profit development of the different brands of the Absolent group.
• Building a 5-year development strategy
• Forecast the needs for sales development.
• Defining and targeting opportunities
• Working closely with product managers
• Coordinating with company executives, marketing…. Etc.
• Benchmarking the market
• Market research
As well as…
• In charge of defining the best technical solutions and brands according to customer applications
• Identify new leads for Partnering development projects.
• Assure long term, partnership type relations with the customers.
• Business Development and funnel generation in all segments
• Develop a shared account approach with the sales team.
• Close high-level projects with Commercial and the R&D.
• Grow the strategically important Partnering business, profitably.
• Ensure customer retention and business extension and widen customer base.
• Establish the action plan each year and the strategy over the next 5 years.
• Contribute to the definition of annual budgets.
• Ensure the different reporting at the management level.
• Conducting thorough market research, which may include taking surveys, doing desktop research, and
even attending product launches of rival companies.
• Answering all product-related questions in a polite manner and addressing queries promptly.
• Collaborating and strategizing with the business and engineering teams.
• Attending workshops and refresher courses in sales and marketing.
• Planning and assisting with new product releases and events.
• Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Assisting with the development of business plans.
• Scheduling training sessions and attending meetings as required.
• Identifying new market opportunities and relaying this information to the Manager and other relevant
stakeholders.
• Making helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue.

Requirements for the role:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Sales experience essential
Expert in value selling.
Demonstrable and successful sales track record
Good technical background in product area is desirable.
Good presentation
Excellent communication
Analytical in your mindset / Good computer skills
Good planning and organisational
The ability to motivate and lead a team.
A degree in business studies would be an advantage
